Welcome to St Andrew’s

St Andrew’s is a traditional Parish Church situated in the heart of the village of Longton in Lancashire.

We have a friendly Church community, welcoming both regular worshipers and visitors. The pattern of services aims to blend the traditional and more contemporary and events are arranged in both the Church and Church Hall to encompass the wider village community.

If you live near or just passing, please come and pay us a visit.

You will be made most welcome.

Church Music

We are continuing to develop our music and working to bring the finest church music in Lancashire to St Andrew’s Longton!

Thank you for your patience in a time of transition. However, it is wonderful to announce that Katy Bradley has agreed to
begin working with our choir and musicians. Many of you will know Katy from her time at St Andrew’s and from her work at KTB Music. She brings a wealth of experience, skill and energy! Katy has already begun working with the choir and will be around on Sundays from June onwards.

Katy is looking for keen musicians and volunteers to help with the running of our music department. These responsibilities could stem from as little or as much as you want, and could involve being in charge of the music library, making rotas, playing instruments during services or other things we haven’t even thought of yet.

If you’re interested please contact Katy at music@longtonstandrew.org and we’ll make sure your name is on our list.

Choristers wanted!

If you fancy or have always wanted to sing in church choir please feel free to come along to our next practise in church at 7pm on Friday 26th May or email if you can’t make that date, but want to become involved with church choir. We are looking forward to you joining us.

Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. ‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people.’ At once they left their nets and followed him.
